Three sentence movie reviews: The Martian

 In Three Sentence Movie Reviews

martian

Matt Damon brought his get-er-done attitude and sardonic sense of humor to this role, and he excelled in it.  The supporting cast was great and the movie was engaging on all levels. Between this and Gravity,  I feel the need to quote Kristen Meinzer from the Movie Date podcast as she accurately sums up my feelings, “Space is a horrible place, let’s never go.”

Cost: $8.00
Where watched: McMenamins Baghdad Theater in celebration of the completion of my first week of work.

This is still on our list to go out and see! Dan’s been working so much that we simply haven’t had the time. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. I agree with you, though. I pretty much have zero interest in going into space (I think it’s terrifying). However, it’s quite literally Dan’s #1 dream. If he had millions upon millions of dollars of disposable income, it would go to space travel.

Hopefully routine space travel and not dramatic-for-Hollywood-purposes space travel. 🙂

It is hard for me not to compare it subconsciously as I watch the movie after reading the book. I must say in the book, the character is even funnier! Though I don’t care for all the calculations he did out loud in the book for the potatoes and stuff.
